Fire/First Aid

There are fire extinguishers in the kitchen, under the sink and next to the refrigerator. There is also a First Aid Kit and flashlight under the kitchen sink .

Do not burn wood in the fireplace

Wildlife

Being in the mountains also means you may meet the occasional bear, deer, or other wildlife.

  • Don’t leave food outside or in your car
  • If you take out trash, be sure the bin is closed
  • Lock car doors—yes, bears can open them
  • Watch for deer when driving

Driving

If you are visiting during the winter, it's best to have a 4-wheel (or at least front-wheel) drive. Some of the roads may be iced over or otherwise hard to traverse

 Washer/Dryer

The washer/dryer is in the ½ bathroom near the kitchen. There should be a few laundry pods on the sink.

Please be sure to empty the lint trap in the dryer after each use.

 Temperature Control

When you arrive you may want to open a few doors and windows and use the fans to allow the beautiful mountain breeze to flow through

There should be a screen insert in one of the downstairs closets that can be used in the room with the double and twin beds. There is also a remote-controlled window AC unit in the loft that can help cool and circulate the air during the summer months

The ceiling fan in the Living Room is controlled by the white remote

The gas logs are controlled by a wall switch to the right of the fireplace. Just select one of the options from the timer. No need to adjust any of the controls in the fireplace itself

Radiant ceiling heat and floorboard heat are controlled by their respective wall thermostat. There is also a small wall heater in the Living Room next to the game table

Be sure to set all thermostats to 55 degrees when leaving

To use the outdoor heater on the top deck, plug in the unit and flip the switch on. Press the power button on the heater remote, then press P1. Please turn it off and unplug when not in use and place the remote by the phone
 TVs

For the Living Room TV, press the volume up button with the Amazon remote once to power on the sound bar

For all TVs, pressing the 'select' button (middle circle) or 'home' button should power on the unit

All TVs have Internet access to a variety of apps. Feel free to log into any accounts/apps you may have but remember to log out upon check out

The Living Room TV also has a digital antenna for local stations. To access them, select the Guest Profile, then select the "Live" option from the home menu (TV icon) and go to 'Guide'

 Game Table

The game table has a plunger underneath (on the side closest to the dining table). Pressing this will lift the game tabletop where there is a backgammon board and game pieces

Please return the table top and pieces to their original places when finished
